Tet is the God of Play, and created the current ruleset of the world. That being the case, the ultimate loss for Tet would be to lose one of the races, since they are effectively the players, and Tet is extremely opposed to the races dying. It's entirely possible the former King, who knew the way the world works better than most, understood Tet's motivations, and therefore set up the potential for humanity's downfall, which would require Tet to respond in some manner else his worldview and ultimate goals would fail miserably. Because of the way he set up the world, Tet cannot allow any of the races to die off, or he'll lose the chance to truly be the God of Play.

I'm sorry, but this episode is WTF in so many ways. The most obvious is: How can the crust not fall down to the the core when the manteau is removed?

That part can be a bit confusing but from a physics perspective, it's perfectly valid.

First, the Earth's (Disboard's?) lithosphere could hold its shape, even without the mantle-- temporarily of course--since there would be tension everywhere which would hold the surface from breaking apart. The principle is similar to that of an arch (think like a roman bridge) Google it if part this isn't clear.

Now, if the earth was a solid granite sphere and you removed most of its innards, there's a good chance the configuration would still be stable and it could hold its shape indefinitely. However, since the surface of the Earth is very varied--and the core of the earth still exists and is exerting gravitational pressure--we can assume it will eventually break apart and fall towards the core.

However, even in that case that it immediately breaks apart, you wouldn't notice anything for a while. This is because of how free fall/gravity works. Since everything around you is falling at the exact same speed, you wouldn't be able to tell you're falling until you were quite close to the core. Plus, since there's now a vacuum between the core and the falling part of the surface (and ~50km of crust) you wouldn't even notice the heat until you'd crashed into the core. Add the facts that:
1. Force of gravity is significantly reduced due to all the missing mass
2. The distance is a hefty 3000km
3. The most likely points of breakage are along tectonic plate boundaries

You would have tens of minutes (did not do the math tbf; just an educated guess) before you noticed anything.

The confusing part is actually when he says crust since that would leave no surface at all (and then would've come back when he said lithosphere), though I'm pretty sure that's just a translation issue since the translators were trying to keep the matching letters thing going and that makes it super difficult, if not impossible. If you substitute Asthenosphere for crust though, it works perfectly.

Everyone on the surface of the planet would very quickly notice that the mantle suddenly disappeared, even if the crust was strong enough to hold itself up (which I doubt; rocky objects tend to collapse into a sphereish object at around 600 exagrams(10^18 g), and crust mass alone is around 27700 exagrams), because the gravity felt would be significantly reduced. On an elevator, you typically don't exceed an acceleration(excluding gravity, of course) of .1 g, but since the mantle is a significant portion of the gravity on earth, you would feel an acceleration(again excluding normal gravity) of at least .6 g, likely closer to .8 g. If you can imagine the feel of an elevator going down, and make it dramatically greater, then you can imagine the feeling of the mantle disappearing.

Where you slipped up was conflating velocity with acceleration; while it is impossible to tell your velocity when everything is moving the same speed relative to you, it is immediately obvious when your acceleration changes, because that is how people have a sense of balance. By keeping track of where the largest acceleration currently acting on your body is pointing, you can tell which direction down is even with your eyes closed.

as for tens of minutes to fall, you are spot on! Without accounting for air, jumping from the north pole to the south pole through the center of the planet would take just over a half hour. anywhere else on the planet, you'd have to account for the extra velocity around the center of gravity you've got, so on average it would prob. be around 30-90 minutes to fall to your lowest height (actually, on second thought those numbers were calculated with the full weight of the earth, it could be even longer with the lower gravity) Also while we're here, the planet would speed up considerably in its day/night cycle as well, but I don't want to do the math on that rn. Maybe whoever corrects me will be able to find that information

In summary: the crust would fall down, it would take somewhere between more than 30 minutes to much more than 30 minutes to do so, and you would notice immediately because gravity would be significantly reduced.

I think it didn’t remove the oxygen from
their bodies because part of the game was that you couldn’t “directly cause the other player to die” you can only cause situations that will lead to their death. So any word will ignore parts that immediately and directly kill the players. For example, Sora could say, “decapitated man” but not “decapitated jibril” or rather if sora just said “decapitation” something else would be decapitated rather than the players because the game ignores anything that would immediately and directly cause death to the player. Another example would be with the spirit circuits. The spirit circuits were allowed to be removed from jibril as well as from the world because they didn’t immediately cause her to die. Her not flying can result in death from other situation. But the direct actions of removing the spirit circuits didn’t kill her so it was allowed. In oxygen’s case, the oxygen everywhere else was removed but the oxygen inside they remained because otherwise it would cause immediate death.

Pretty sure having no oxigen in your body will take a little bit more time to get you killed than being decaptivated, and he did it himself so it does not really count as killing the other one.
